30 scientists from around the world joined this four-day workshop from the 14th till the 17th of march 2016 to discuss fundamental aspects related to mass spectrometry. Each day was designated to a particular topic, such as Building Kit-MS, Life of a Molecule, Sample to Signal and Praxis. Lectures were pepared by Dr. Sonja Klee, Dr. Douglas Worsnop, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schrader, Dr. Walter Wißdorf, Prof. Dr. Thorsten Benter and Dr. Hendrik Kersten. The lively question & discussion session at the end of the first day gradually turned into a wonderful opening event. At the end of the third day, after the participants have completely taken apart our instruments in a praxis session, we gathered in the Brauhaus for a cozy closing event.
